Dogs are intelligent and have been man's best friend for thousands of years, this intelligence has been utilised by the blind, deaf and also in services such as the military, police and mountain rescue.

They are amazing creatures, herding sheep, finding your slippers, and guarding the yard and dogs do this quite readily through instinct selective breeding, and the way they can read human body language.

However because of this, a dog can also pick up some bad habits, often without you knowing, and they can influence how you treat them, if you let them.

A dog is far more intelligent and compliant than people often think and it is fundamental to understand this concept to get the most from my training skills.
